Recap · Two-date Forum run · Charli XCX

Two years after Brat took the Forum, Charli XCX came back with a band to argue with it.

In October 2024 she played the Kia Forum at the height of Brat. In October 2026 she returned to the same room as the sole headliner, with an album built to leave Brat behind and three surprise guests on the first show.

Kia Forum · Oct 17–18, 2026 · Recap updated October 20, 2026

The first time, she was sharing the bill. On October 15 and 16, 2024, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan brought the Sweat tour to the Kia Forum in the months when Brat was less an album than a season. In February 2025 the Grammys made it official: three wins, Best Dance/Electronic Album among them.

Then she did the harder thing and moved on. Music, Fashion, Film arrived July 24, 2026, led by a single called “Rock Music,” and it trades Brat’s club beats for distorted guitars and songs about what fame does to the person inside it. It debuted at No. 1 in the UK and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 — a hit, and a swerve.

Two years almost to the day after Sweat, she was back at the Forum alone, on October 17 and 18. The show opened with “Rock Music,” and it staged the argument between the two records out loud. In the Los Angeles Times, Mikael Wood noted that the Brat songs ran on prerecorded tracks while the new ones got “a scuzzy live band.” The club music played like a memory. The guitars played like the present tense.

Brat still got its due. During “Guess,” pairs of underwear rained down on the crowd, a nod to the video for the song’s remix with Billie Eilish — and on October 17 the man on stage for it was The Dare, who co-produced the original.

That first show turned into a guest list. Chappell Roan came out for “Boom Clap,” her 2014 single from The Fault in Our Stars, released a full decade before Brat. PinkPantheress joined for “Stateside.” The second show, on October 18, had its own surprise: ADÉLA, singing “Nicole Kidman.” Underscores opened both.

Two Forum runs, two years apart: the first at the height of Brat, the second with the record built to follow it.
